PICTURED: THE MAN WHO DONATED TINTAB SHELTER TO BRIGG

Great interest has been shown in our recent posts about the generous benefactor who donated the Tintab Shelter to Brigg in the 1930s.
The great granddaughter of David Lambert Andrew has kindly been in touch by email, enclosing this picture which shows him on the left.
He used to own Andrew's Ponds on Cadney Road/Mill Lane, she tells us, and his gravestone is in Brigg Cemetery.
The image shows the future Tin Tabernacle benefactor in 1921 alongside "an afternoon's catch of bream from Andrew's Ponds."
Wednesday, June 29, 1921 was the date this notable haul was landed.

Brigg Town Council is to arrange a refurb of the East Park building.
