ACCESS CONCERNS ABOUT PLAN FOR BRIGG APARTMENTS

Brigg Town Council has lodged concerns with North Lincolnshire planners about an application for the Market Place. The unitary authority will now decide whether to grant permission.
The planning and listed building consent applications are for 27 Market Place - above the HSBC bank. The aim is to convert and change the use of the upper and second floor to four residential apartments and to upgrade the rear parking area.
Brigg Town Council's Planning & Environment Committee, meeting in the Angel Suite, had reservations about access to, and from, the Market Place.
Coun Sharon Riggall said access for emergency service vehicles was a concern.
Coun Jane Kitching wondered whether it might be possible to create an access to the rear of the site to connect with the nearby Angel car park.
