BRIGG LIVE ARTS THIS AUTUMN

Brigg Live Arts has launched its programme of autumn events.
It has become part of the LiveLincs Rural Touring programme and will be venturing into the world of theatre during October and November
The Ugly Duckling,  Friday 30th October, from 2.30pm, Brigg & District Serviceman’s Club:  Inspired by the classic Hans Christian Anderson tale, the performance features the trademark hand shadow puppetry of Drew Colby (Finger and Thumb Theatre), live cello music played by Penny Callow, beautiful lights-scapes, whimsical humour and clever use of everyday objects guaranteed to take the imagination on a journey with the duckling. Suitable for ages 4+/family audiences. Tickets £6 adults/ £3 children
The Secret World of Charles Dickens: Mirth, Marvels and the Mysterious, Friday 6th November, 7pm, Brigg & District Serviceman’s Club: A humorous and mystifying show where Ian Keable reveals Dickens’s journey to becoming a magician and recreates his favourite tricks and the spooky practises of the Victorian psychics. It ends, as Dickens ended his show, with the production of a fruit cake! This show has had nothing but excellent reviews - ‘a cracking good night’. Tickets £6 each.
Maire Ni Chathasaigh and Chris Newman,  Friday 27th November, the Angel Suite, 7.30pm: Marie carries the reputation of being one of the greatest Celtic harpists of our time and with the fantastic Chris Newman, on guitar, they have carved a niche in traditional and folk music that leaves them at the top of a wonderful mountain. Definitely not to be missed so get your tickets early. Tickets £12 in advance, £14 on the door.
Tickets for all the events are available from Brigg Tourist Information Centre, The Buttercross, Market Place. Call 01652 657053. For more information, and to reserve tickets,  call 01652 658995.
