MILESTONE COMING UP FOR BRIGG TOWN CENTRE SHOP PREMISES

It's now 10 years since alterations were approved for one of Brigg town centre's most distinctive buildings, pictured above.
Back in August 2008, Brigg Blog reported that planning permission had been granted to Cooplands, the bakers, for alterations to an existing shop, including new shop front, at 70 Wrawby Street - the former Shoefayre premises.
The go-ahead was given by North Lincolnshire Council.

"The former shoe shop is currently being converted, with Cooplands moving across the road from their current town centre premises, now being advertised for re-use to another retail concern," we said on August 13, 2008.
Our headline on the story suggested it had been a 'bread and butter decision' for the local authority.
Ten years later, Cooplands are still using the same premises.
