BRIGG EXTENSION SEEKS THE GO AHEAD

A new extension is planned for a property in Brigg.
Permission to demolish an existing single storey rear extension and erect a new single storey rear and front extension is being sought for 12 Westrum Lane.
In Wrawby, permission is being requested to carry out alterations and extensions to the existing dwelling called Homestead, on Melton Road.

In Barnetby,  permission to erect first-floor side extension with carport below has been applied for at 21 Railway Street.
In Hibaldstow, permission is being sought to build a detached dwelling on land to the rear of Wheelgates, off Brigg Road (once the location of Sargent's renowned ice cream factory).
These four applications are now being considered by North Lincolnshire Council - the local planning authority.
West Lindsey District Council has now approved an application to create a habitat pond on  agricultural land off Grasby Road, Barnetby.
The site covers 0.42 hectares, which Brigg Blog works out to be just under 1.04 acres for the benefit of ourselves and others of more senior years who still think in so-called imperial measures.
In granting permission, the council has added a condition that work on creating the pond must start within three years.
