BRIGG DECATHLON IN TOWN

Trade in Brigg pubs over the August bank holiday weekend will be boosted by what is expected to be a sizeable group of drinkers.
Taking part in what's being billed as the Brigg Decathlon, they will be visiting town centre bars on Saturday, August 25, having started out at the King William IV in Scawby Brook.
Something similar has taken place previously, and pub-goers next Saturday can expect to see many members of the group wearing unusual attire.
They won't be able to call at the Nelthorpe Arms this time, as it has closed and is being converted into three dwellings, planning permission having been obtained from North Lincolnshire Council.
The White Hart, also on Bridge Street, is shut temporarily at present for refurbishment by the new owners. But that still leaves 10 bars.

A half in each, perhaps?
