BRIGG HOUSING SCHEME APPROVED

Outline plans to put housing on a well-known site in Brigg have been given the green light by North Lincolnshire Council.
Planners have granted outline permission for residential development on Glebe Road.
The site is  currently occupied by Brigg Kids Club and the plan is to demolish the existing building, with the pre-school moving to another location within the town at some future date.
A North Lincolnshire Council delegated assessment report said: "The application is for outline only, with all other matters reserved for subsequent approval. The applicant has submitted an indicative block plan that shows the siting of 2 dwellings.

"It is considered that this would appear appropriate to the street scene and though offer a small amount of private amenity for residents it would draw parity with some of the other dwellings in the area."
North Lincolnshire Council's highways department was consulted and raised no objection, subject to the attachment of planning conditions relating to a phased traffic management plan during construction and for the stopping up of existing access points once development is complete.
Brigg Town Council supported the application.
