ARE YOU SITTING COMFORTABLY? THEN BRIGG BLOG WILL BEGIN...

At Brigg Town Council's last meeting, Freeman Tom Glossop - a former long-serving member of the authority - attended during Public Question Time and reported two public seats in need of repair.
A few days later, Brigg Blog went along to examine the benches, not far from the frontage of JD Wetherspoon's White Horse pub, on the area of stone paving close to where Wrawby Street joins Queen Street.
Slats were indeed missing, making it difficult for anyone to be sitting comfortably.
We returned yesterday to see whether repair work had been undertaken and are pleased to report new wooden slats in place with a coat of weather-protecting varnish added for good measure.
North Lincolnshire Council will have effected the improvements.
We tried out one of the seats, which affords a good view past the pub and towards the main town centre shopping area.
It's also good to see a litter bin located between the two seats.
