ALDI SAYS 93 PER CENT SUPPORT PLANS FOR NEW BRIGG STORE

Following a consultation session held some weeks ago in Brigg, an email message was  sent yesterday to some local residents on behalf of Aldi about its proposed new store on Bridge Street.
The message says: "We are writing on behalf of Aldi who have recently submitted a planning application to North Lincolnshire Council to build a new Aldi foodstore at the former Brigg Motor Spares site on Bridge Street, Brigg.
"Thank you for taking the time to respond to our recent consultation and for expressing your support for the proposal to bring Aldi to Brigg. We are pleased that the proposals are generating a lot of interest and that the majority of local people support the plans.
"93% of responses say ‘YES’ to Aldi!
"It is important that planning officers at the council are aware of the significant public support the proposals have received and we are therefore asking that you make your views known to them.
"On this basis it is possible by following the link below to submit your details and comment online to North Lincolnshire Council. Comments can be received by the council up to 4th August. Comment on the reasons why you are supportive of the application, such as the site being easily accessible, increased local choice etc."
People are then asked to make their views known to planners through this link Comment Here
