Brigg Town Cricket Club this week  delivered a very positive report on the upgrade of Brigg Recreation Ground.
The club sent a small team - led by chairman Mark Cawkwell - to Wednesday night's mid-season meeting of the Lincolnshire County Cricket League to outline the progress being made.
Brigg Town are in division four but currently playing all home games at the Brocklesby Park ground. The aim is to return to the Rec next season.
North Lincolnshire Council, which is building brand new changing rooms as part of  ground refurbishment, is also turning its attentions to the cricket square and outfield, the Brigg Town delegation revealed.
The league will carry out an official inspection of faciliities on and off the field at Brigg Recreation Ground during  September. A report will then be prepared for consideration at October's annual general meeting when the league will be deciding important issues for the 2017 season.
