Although Aldi has still to officially announce the opening date for its new Brigg store, we are now only a few weeks away as the project off Bridge Street nears completion.
The international discount retailer seems to favour Thursdays for launching new stores across the UK.
Thursday, September 3 saw two open their doors for the first time - in Southend and Weymouth.
The new Aldi on Trafford Retail Park, Manchester, will follow suit on Thursday, September 10, with another coming to St Leonards (Sussex) on September 17. Other Aldi outlets opened on Thursdays in August, including one in Bristol.
As Thursday is market day in Brigg and many people visit the town to do their weekly shop, this would seem a good choice to launch our new Aldi beside the A18.
Brigg Blog has lodged a request with Aldi at national level to be informed when the local store's opening date is officially announced.
