DONATION SESSION TO BE HELD FOR BRIGG FOODBANK


In recent years it has become a tradition at Harvest Festival time for members of Brigg Methodist Church to donate gifts of food to the Brigg Foodbank.
Amid the Coronavirus emergency this is to continue and people are being invited to take their gifts along to the car park at the Brigg Chapel, off Wesley Road, near the traffic lights, on Saturday, September 26 between 10.30am and 11.30am.
Donations of 500g bags of sugar, fruit juice and fruit squash, tinned tomatoes and biscuits will be especially welcome. Some people may instead make monetary contributions.
Brigg Methodists have two 'virtual' online church services coming up today (Sunday, September 13) using Zoom.
The morning services start at 10.30am but with the usual option to join early, any time after 9.45am. It will be led by the Rev Gillian Belford. The meeting ID is 978 8891 8428 or click on this link https://zoom.us/j/97888918428
The welcome service for the Rev Angy Long will be held as an online service this afternoon at 4pm. The preacher will be the Rev Bruce Thompson, chair of the district. All are most welcome to join this service. It will use the normal Sunday service details - meeting ID 978 8891 8428.
The Zoom service on Sunday, September 27 will be a Harvest Festival Celebration with the preacher being Tim Baker from All We Can - the Methodist Relief and Development Charity.
