Congratulations to Brigg Town Football Club on a 4-0 pre-season friendly victory over a Grimsby Town XI at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns) on Thursday evening (September 3).
The game was well attended, and the visiting Mariners fielded a youthful side.
On the mark were Martin Pembleton, Reece Moody and Jamie Osbourne (2). It was 3-0 at the interval.
This afternoon (Saturday) Brigg were due to host Maltby Main, from Doncaster, in another warm-up fixture - ahead of the 2020/21 ToolStation Northern Counties East programme getting underway. However, this game has now been postponed.
Barnetby United FC host Wyke Wanderers in the Beel Cup at Silver Street this afternoon (2pm).
