A Christmas Display held in Woods Meadow, Hibaldstow, throughout December - all put together by Ross Carrick - has raised £900 for The Alzheimer's Society through very generous donations.
Ross would like to thank everyone who took time to visit his display - some travelling quite a distance to see it.
The money will go towards funding the recently launched Alzheimer's Society 'Side by Side' service in North Lincolnshire.

Meanwhile, homes in Brigg and district are now being invited to reycle their "real" Christmas trees.
Lindsey Lodge Hospice, which has a charity shop on Wrawby Street, is willing to visit households and collect their trees for recycling in return for a small donation. View full details here...
Brigg Blog had a real tree this Christmas for the first time in many years. However, ours - bought from a shop in Brigg - is only a foot tall (see picture above)!

One unusual, but practical ways of disposing of old Crimbo trees in the North West...specifically at Form by- a place between Liverpool and Southport, is to use them as sand-dune retention along the coast. The old trees act as an anchor to the blowing sand and the dunes are retained.....Formby is also near the Gormley's standing figures standing along the estuary of the Mersey/North Sea....
