KEEPING THE RAIN OFF BUS PASSENGERS COMING TO BRIGG
Provision of a new bus shelter is one of the Brigg area schemes to be awarded community grants by North Lincolnshire Council.
In the latest round of applications, considered at the beginning of this month, the council agreed to give £2,471 towards the £4,871 needed to provide the shelter on New Street, Elsham.
Elsham Parish Council made the application which is also being supported from "parish funds."
The local authority will be responsible for maintenance of the bus shelter, which will benefit the community.
Buses operated by Hornsbys and Stagecoach link the village with Brigg.
For winter planting schemes, Hibaldstow was allocated £600 and Elsham and Worlaby £150 apiece from North Lincolnshire's community grant fund in January 2019.
