COUNTING DOWN TO BRIGG PUBS & BARS REOPENING

Brigg is well placed if various national reports prove correct in suggesting that the government will permit those pubs with 'outside space' on offer like beer gardens to reopen first from the lockdown which has been enforced since late March.
Forecasts for the resumption range from June 22 to July 4, with social distancing and other protective measures required during outdoor drinking.
All Brigg's licensed premises have outside facilities.
The beer gardens behind the Black Bull and the Woolpack have been refurbished during lockdown, with Brigg Town FC working to create a new one beside the Hawthorns clubhouse.
The licensed trade will be studying the exact requirements for reopening very carefully when the government's announcement is finally made.
