BRIGG CCTV SURVEILLANCE MAY BE EXTENDED
CCTV surveillance could be stepped up in Brigg in an effort to monitor and also deter criminal activity, including anti-social behaviour.
The Town Council is to consider buying a new camera to keep an eye on the riverside area beyond the County Bridge.
The suggested location is adjacent to the Ladbrokes bookmaking premises.
Approval of this added surveillance measure will be considered by councillors at their monthly meeting on Thursday evening, June 18 (to be conducted online).
Some months ago the Town Council worked with the North Lincolnshire authority to install new CCTV equipment on Elwes Street to monitor the Millennium Green - long considered to be something of a crime 'hotspot'.
