HISTORIC BRIGG ARTEFACT COMES HOME & IT'S HIGH TIME!

 

An historic Brigg artefact has returned home after many years.
This grandfather clock is back at the Dying Gladiator pub - we are told after a gap of 80 years.
The tall timepiece is now a feature within the Stables Bar behind the 'Glad'.
Brigg Blog received a timely tip-off about the clock's return from Joe Mullen, who takes a keen in the history of local hostelries, being the owner of the 18th century Exchange on the other side of Bigby Street.
Gladiator general manager Eugene Irwin and manager Rebecca Donner kindly made time so Brigg Blog could illustrate this post.
Please note that the Brigg Gin & Rum Festival pencilled in for later this month has been postponed until later in the year at the Stables Bar.
