There will be thirst-quenching beers from Ferry Ales Brewery, a delicious BBQ, live music from The Moonshiners and fantastic jump racing, a combination that will make it a perfect way to enjoy the holiday with family and friends.
There is plenty for children, too, with free face painting, inflatable fun and the Neigh & Play Children’s Garden in the Lawn Enclosure.
County Enclosure visitors can even have a drink at the Tiger Roll Bar, named after the first back-to-back winner of the Randox Health Grand National since Red Rum!
Nadia Powell, General Manager, Market Rasen Racecourse, said: “It is a delight to offer families the chance to come racing at Market Rasen on Easter Sunday. We are laying on plenty of attractions, including beer tasting, a BBQ and live music. Combined with the excitement of our jump racing, a splendid day is in store.”
All accompanied under 18s are admitted free of charge, while under 12s can enjoy a free meal in our Brocklesby Suite Restaurant alongside any full priced adult silver or gold package booking. Young adults, aged 18 to 24 years, can get half-price admission by registering at www.RacePass18to24.co.uk to receive a free RacePass membership card. Admission is from £9 for adults.
Among special Easter Sunday offers are: Family Passes, which – for £25 – give Tattersalls admission to two adults and up to four accompanied children, two race-day programmes and a party bag; £30 per person Pig & Swig packages, which include exclusive entry into the Ferry Ales Brewery ‘Become A Brewer For The Day’ competition; plus ‘Best of British’ restaurant and private hospitality suite experiences.
More information is available at https://www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/marketrasen from where tickets can be bought in advance.
All three enclosures – County, Tattersalls and Lawn – will be open, offering visitors a choice of where to watch the races and enjoy refreshments.
The County Enclosure has several bars and places to eat in a friendly atmosphere, including the Tiger Roll Bar with great views or a table in the Brocklesby Suite Restaurant.
Within the Tattersalls Enclosure, visitors watch the horses as they parade and get up close to the winners. There are various bars and eateries, including the Exacta Bar, AP’s Bar and the Red Rum Bar & Kitchen.
A fun family day out can be enjoyed in the Lawn Enclosure. There is something for all ages - along with views of the parade ring, there is a playground for children, free children’s entertainment and the Victor Lucas Bar for the grown-ups.
Market Rasen Racecourse, which is part of The Jockey Club, is staging 21 jump racing meetings in 2019 and attracts over 60,000 visitors each year.
