A call for Brigg Town Council to make more information available to the public through social media was made at the Annual Town Meeting.
It came from local resident Irene Howson who said she enjoyed reading issues of the Brigg Matters magazine and items posted online by Brigg is Best (operated by Brigg Town Business Partnership).
However, she expressed a wish to see more from Brigg Town Council, particularly through Facebook.
Coun James Trupenny spoke of potential problems in respect of comments made on some posts, which could not be monitored round the clock.
Town Clerk Dinah Lilley pointed out that a good deal of information was made public through the Town Council's website.
The meeting also heard there have been some technical issues relating to the council's Facebook page.
Our own humble efforts did get a brief mention during the discussion but Brigg Blog does not post content directly on Facebook or Twitter.
