BRIGG BIKE NIGHT 2020

Brigg Bike Night 2020 will NOT be taking place on Friday, July 10.
Many local people will have assumed this to be so, in view of the lengthy spell of lockdown since March and the fact that social distancing measures still apply.
However, Brigg Blog has now sought, and received, official confirmation that this major community event will not be going ahead.
Just prior to lockdown being imposed an appeal was made for people to come forward and help organise this July's event - provisional date July 10.
In past years the section of Bridge Street from the Yarborough Hunt pub to the County Bridge has been closed to vehicular traffic for several hours on Bike Night. On this occasion there will be no problem parking in the area or accessing Manley Gardens.
Our picture shows a busy scene at last July's Brigg Bike Night when social distancing was not an issue. Just look at the crowds in the distance!
Barton Bike Night 2020, planned for this month, has also been cancelled.
