HOUSING ON OUTSKIRTS OF BRIGG REFUSED PERMISSION
Planning permission to erect one dwelling with a detached garage on the outskirts of Brigg has been refused.
West Lindsey District Council rejected an application from Harry Thorpe relating to land to the south of Pingley Vale, Bigby High Road, which is within Bigby parish - close to the border with Brigg.
The Gainsborough-based local authority decided the proposed dwelling represents an unjustified incursion into the open countryside beyond a previously planned development limit and is not an appropriate location for development, being contrary to policies of the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan.
Anyone refused planning permission can, if they wish, lodge an appeal against the local authority's decision.
West Lindsey District Council has granted outline permission to erect a detached dwelling on land to the south of Bridge Willow, West Street, North Kelsey.
The successful application came from to Diana Hickling.
On our side of the county border, planning permission to erect a single-storey extension to the side and rear and a two-storey extension to the front at 40 Bigby High Road, Brigg, is being sought from North Lincolnshire Council. This application is now under consideration.
