UPDATED: BRIGG PUB REFURB CREATING PLENTY OF INTEREST

Much interest is being shown in the revamp of the Black Bull pub in Brigg.
Folk are keen to see the changes that are being made ahead of the re-opening.
The other afternoon we noted 10 contractors' vans in the rear car park and painting going on at the front.
Passers by on Wrawby Street can see through the front windows that the seating is being altered.
North Lincolnshire Council has received an application for a minor variation of the premises licence (see picture below).

6pm Thursday update: Black Bull now looking set to reopen.

We took these pictures on Wednesday morning (April 4) showing how the front looks.
There has been a pub at this location since at least 1820.
Considerable refurbishment took place in the 1980s when we recall the side door/entrance being removed.
A few years ago it became Dexter's Ale House & Kitchen, with cabanas (wooden chalets) and palm trees added in the beer garden.
Then it changed hands again and reverted back to being the Black Bull.
New owners are now in charge.
