COULD BRIGG BE SET TO LOSE ANOTHER OF ITS PUBS?

Having seen new houses take the place of the Brocklesby Ox and Ancholme pubs in recent years, Brigg may be set to lose another hostelry.
For North Lincolnshire Council has received a planning application seeking permission to change the use of the Nelthorpe Arms, on Bridge Street, into three dwelling houses with parking provided on the site.
The local authority is also being asked to grant the necessary listed building consent.
Both applications within the Brigg Conservation Area have been made by Harriton Beracha Ltd and will be considered by the council in due course.
The Nelthorpe Arms was established in 1849, making it one of the town's oldest surviving pubs.
