Brigg Town Mayor Coun Sharon Riggall presented a card and parting gift to Assistant Town Clerk Alison Hannath who was attending her final monthly Town Council meeting in the Angel Suite before leaving the post.
The authority is seeking a replacement, and the successful applicant will work alongside Town Clerk Dinah Lilley.
The council is to have a 'handyperson' whose remit has yet to be decided.
But one duty that may be included is grass cutting.
The council's Personnel Committee will consider the job description.
