SNOW PICTURES IN BRIGG - MIND HOW YOU GO AS WINTER WEATHER TAKES AN ICY GRIP

Following last night's snow, Brigg people woke to find car windscreens frozen, suburban roads and parts of the River Ancholme iced over and footpaths slippery today (Wednesday, January 23).
Winter has arrived and having visited the town centre around 8.30pm this morning, Brigg Blog's advice is to tread very carefully if you are out and about.
We noted one pensioner slip over in the Market Place and almost came to grief ourselves while taking pictures near the County Bridge.
However, driving conditions are fine on the A18 through Brigg.
North Lincolnshire Council has pledged to give priority to town centres like ours when spreading salt and grit to thaw accumulated ice and snow.
Tomorrow is market day, so it's to be hoped that steps (pardon the pun!) will be taken to assist shoppers within the town centre.
