Sportsmen and women in Brigg are to take part in a special celebratory event at the Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road, to remember a long-serving player and official who is sadly no longer with us.
This will start at 2pm today (Saturday, September 1) in memory of Brigid Vaughan and will be Brigg Hockey Club's registration day for the new season about to commence.
Players will be able to submit membership forms, pay their annual subs, play in matches and enjoy refreshments.
Those attending are being asked to take along old hockey photographs and memorabilia.
A plaque was unveiled at The Rec, in memory of Brigid (pictured) and what she did for local sport, in September 2017.
