IRISH MUSIC NIGHT PROVES POPULAR AT BRIGG PUB

An open invitation to enjoy an Irish music night at a Brigg pub was taken up by many people from the town and surrounding district on Saturday (September 22).
The Yarborough Hunt,  on Bridge Street, invited folk to join staff "for a little jig and sing-along to some Irish folk songs played live by the wonderful duo Fiddlers Green."
The pub also extended an open invitation to go along and "enjoy the craic."
The musicians proved very popular as they performed many popular tunes, inspiring some customers (and bar staff) to get up and dance!
The event was very well attended and the music brought back memories of nights spent years ago at the Nelthorpe Arms (now closed) during the tenure of Myles and Mary Scanlon at the  homely hostelry on the other side of Bridge Street.
