BARNETBY FOOTBALLERS IN CUP FINAL ACTION TONIGHT


As the local football season enters its final phase, Barnetby United Reserves are in cup final action tonight (Thursday, March 21).
The division two leaders in the EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District Football League take on third-placed Sherpa in the Tortank Barton Brotherhood Cup showpiece at the Birkdale Stadium in Bottesford.
Kick-off is 7.30pm, with provision for extra time and penalties if required.
The match officials are: referee, A Barber; assistant referees, K Clark & M Wordsworth; fourth official R Coulson.
On Saturday (March 23) Barnetby United first teamers and Briggensians both have home games kicking off at 3pm.
Barnetby entertain Crosby Colts at Silver Street, while Briggensians entertain Limestone Rangers.
Barnetby Reserves have an important division two fixture at Epworth Town Colts Blues.
The result of this game will have a big say in who wins the championship, Epworth being second in the table.
Saturday will see Brigg Town FC playing another semi-final, this time in the Lincolnshire Challenge Cup. The Zebras journey south to play Louth Town (2.30pm KO).
