BRIGG CHEF'S DELIGHT AT UNCLE HENRY'S NATIONAL AWARD SUCCESS

Brigg Blog congratulates all the staff of Uncle Henry's Farm Shop, Butchery & Cafe at Grayingham for successes gained in a prestigious food quality competition.
Linda North, who lives in Brigg, is the production chef and has commented on the success enjoyed in the British Pie Awards 2019.
Husband Martin - well-known in local football circles - informed us that Uncle Henrys had a fantastic result in the competition at Melton Mowbray. So Brigg Blog asked the business to supply full details (see below).
In years past, Martin and Linda ran a number of local hostelries, including Brigg's Yarborough Hunt and Ancholme Inn, Wrawby's Jolly Miller and Waddingham's Marquis of Granby.

Uncle Henry’s wins 2 Golds and a Silver at the British Pie Awards 2019
From Emma Jones, PR & Events Manager

Uncle Henry’s are thrilled to announce that all 3 of their entries for the British Pie Awards 2019 achieved a winning place.
Their Steak & Ale Pie which won Bronze last year, was placed in the top three of its category and has been awarded a Gold and Highly Commended certification.
The other two pies entered by Uncle Henry’s were their Chicken & Ham which received a Gold and their Lamb and Mint Pie, which secured Silver, narrowly missing out on a Gold by one point!
Linda North, production chef at Uncle Henry’s, says: “We are delighted that our hard work, skill and passion for creating delicious pies has been recognised at these prestigious awards. It is our third year entering the competition and to have been successful with all 3 pies for a second-year running is a tremendous result. We have just launched our own home-made pork pie at Uncle Henry’s which has had great feedback from customers and we will look to enter it into next year’s awards.”
Uncle Henry’s pies are available to purchase in the farm shop and can also be enjoyed in the cafe as part of their daily specials.
Linda produces a wide selection of pie varieties including Steak & Kidney and a seasonal Game Pie.
