MYSTERY 'BAGPIPES' NOISE HEARD IN BRIGG NEIGHBOURHOOD
FROM KEN HARRISON, IN THE EARLY HOURS OF SUNDAY MORNING
Very loud and somewhat undulating whistling alarm heard in the Grammar School Road/Redcombe Lane area during early morning.
A sound resembling a mixture of a high pitched whistling kettle and a chanter on a set of bagpipes started about 2.10am....and at 2.45..over 30 minutes, its loud whining is still disturbing the neighbourhood.
The source is difficult to locate as the sound is reflected by the various houses in the locality.
The mystery noise ceased at 2.47am.
Does anyone know the source/reason for the sound/alarm?
If so, please email Brigg Blog using this link...
