TRAIN-ING OUR THOUGHTS ON BRIGG TOWN FC v GRIMSBY BOROUGH FOOTBALL DERBY

One of the biggest games of the season is coming up for Brigg Town Football Club tomorrow (Saturday, December 9).
The Zebras, who are bottom of the Tool Station Northern Counties East First Division, have a local derby against fourth-placed Grimsby Borough (3pm KO).
This will mean  many visiting fans heading to the Hawthorns, and they will be able to take advantage of the Saturday-only passenger train service connecting Grimsby with Brigg station.

They can opt to leave the car at home and enjoy a drink or three in the bar, generating a bit more income for our local club.
Sadly for Brigg Town last  Saturday (December 2) their game at Selby Town was postponed, while fellow strugglers Retford United pulled off a fine 3-2 win at AFC Emley.
Retford are now three points above Brigg.
The Zebras will visit Selby for the re-arranged fixture on January 23 (7.45pm KO).
Some interesting games are in prospect tomorrow  in the EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District Football League.
Barnetby United journey to The Butchers Arms for an EC Surfacing Ltd Challenge Cup quarter-final (K.O. 1-30pm).
Briggensians will be at home to Epworth Colts in a Johnsons Transport Ironstone Cup quarter-final (1-30pm).
There's a Division Two match for Barnetby United Reserves against Scotter United Reserves at Silver Street (2pm).
