MORE PLANTERS PLANNED FOR BRIGG IN BLOOM

Brigg in Bloom 2018 will add even more colour and flower power to the town, following the well-received scheme launched earlier this year.
The Brigg in Bloom Committee has met again and reported progress made to the Town Council.
Items of interest considered by the committee include:

  • Two additional octagonal planters to be purchased for Bigby Street near the Kebabish fast food premises.
  • Two sets of liners need  purchasing for the planters along the riverbank, as they have “disappeared.”
A grant application has been completed for funding from North Lincolnshire Council’s “In Bloom” initiative.
Letters requesting sponsorship have been sent to local businesses.

My old art teacher told me that sets of things, for creative purposes, should be a odd number....an even number of things makes folk look for patterns/balance/symetary....so, using such a hypothesis, planters should be grouped in 1.3,5 etc...otherwise the the creative flower beds become the victims of looking for patterns, rather than artistic quality.
