BRIGG PUB APPLIES FOR PAVEMENT LICENCE

The historic Woolpack pub in Brigg town centre

A pub in Brigg town centre is seeking a Pavement Licence so customers can sit outside the front of the premises.
North Lincolnshire Council is being asked by Punch Partnerships Limited to permit the siting of four tables, 16 chairs, parasols and a "cafe barrier" outside the Woolpack, in the Market Place.
The application has been made under new legislation - the Business and Planning Act 2020.
The proposed days and times of operation are Monday to Sunday, 10am to 11pm.
The street furniture's intended location is some distance from the front of the premises, permitting pedestrians to pass by (see picture above).
Brigg Town Council's Planning & Environment Committee considered the application at its meeting held last night. Report to follow on our blog.

However, the final decision will be taken by the North Lincolnshire authority, which deals with local licensing.
