The attractive function room on the upper floor of the Buttercross in Brigg town centre is now open again and available for hire.
Well furnished and described as Covid secure, it is suitable for family events, celebrations, weddings, meetings and presentations.
North Lincolnshire Council owns the Buttercross; bookings are administered through the Heritage Centre, which is housed in the nearby Angel complex.
A lift and stairs give access to the upper floor of the Buttercross, which celebrated its 200th anniversary in June 2019.
One of the town centre's prime buildings and grade two listed, it was the home of Brigg Urban District Council for many decades until circa 1970 when a new 'Town Hall' was opened on Cary Lane (currently used as offices by Humberside Police)
Lady Diana, The Princess of Wales, is among VIPs who have graced the Buttercross during its long history. That was during Brigg's Regeneration Project when the building was one of many to be refurbished. Glanford Borough Council installed some elaborate chandeliers on the top floor.
