Several people, in person and via social media, have asked Brigg Blog to mention a pancreatic cancer charity fundraiser that is coming up in the town. And this one is on licensed premises!
It's called Back to the '80s and people are invited to attend wearing outfits from that period.
The fundraiser will be hosted by the Lord Nelson Hotel on Saturday, August 31, from 7.30pm. There will be music throughout the evening, including a singer performing live from 9pm to 11pm.
Tickets are only a fiver, which includes food. Call in at the the Market Place venue to secure yours. But don't delay.
Thinking about attire for this 'do' - would it be worth inquiring at Brigg charity shops? They might be able to provide something suitable. And it would bring them some added custom. Just a thought...
