ATTENTION ALL BRIGG BIKE AND MUSIC FANS

Brigg people - particularly those who like motor bikes, classic cars and real ale - might like to make note of a couple of events coming up in nearby Scawby.
Firstly, Scawby Women's Institute (WI) has asked Brigg Blog to mention an event this weekend.
The group is creating a “yarn bombing” exercise in one of the village's bus shelters, in conjunction with Scawby’s gala weekend.
The WI's efforts will be available to view on Friday (June 11) and throughout the weekend.
Scawby's Sutton Arms pub & restaurant, on West Street, is to hold a major fundraiser near the venue in aid of the NHS's Scunthorpe General Hospital on Saturday, July 3 "to say a big thank you."
There will be live music from two acts well-known in Brigg and district - Black Orchid (3pm to 5pm) and Jimi Dee (5pm to 9pm).
Also on offer will be craft stalls and a car boot sale, a real ale beer tent, a barbecue and a classic cars and motorbikes display. Sutton Arms chefs have also agreed to undergo a sponsored waxing. Ouch!
For more details about this event, call the venue on 01652 652430.

Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, on Coney Court, is set to host a charity night featuring local singer Darren Busby on Friday, July 16 - in aid of Scunthorpe General Hospital. Further details to follow nearer the time.
