Here's a Brigg archive picture that will bring sporting and school memories flooding back for a number of reasons.
It shows Brigg Town Cricket Club's 2nd team in 1996, lined up outside the old wooden pavilion at Sir John Nelthorpe School.
The pavilion - complete with lofty perch for the scorers - was built by Brigg Grammar Schools pupils, under supervision, circa 1929.
It eventually became dilapidated and had to be dismantled - hastening Brigg Town Cricket Club's return to the Recreation Ground for home fixtures.
In the background, to the left, is another fondly remembered feature of Brigg Grammar and later Sir John Nelthorpe School - the brick-built canteen. Town used it for mid-match teas. The refectory, as it was known in BGS days, was demolished at roughly the same time as the pavilion.
The Brigg 2nds team 24 years ago was an interesting mixture of youth and experience.

Jack is the only player from this 1996 line-up who is still performing for Brigg Town, although some of us still attend home games as spectators.
The start of the 2020 season at The Rec has been postponed due to the Coronavirus restrictions. If things improve, it's hoped to begin a restricted programme of Lincolnshire County Cricket League fixtures later this summer.
