BRIGG SPORTS CLUB ON THE BALL WITH REQUEST FOR FUNDS
Brigg Town Council has agreed to make a £350 grant to Briggensians Football Club, which plays in Division Two of the EC Surfacing Scunthorpe & District Football League, home games taking place at the Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road.
The club requested assistance to help with the cost of kit and match balls, and Deputy Town Mayor Coun Brian Parker suggested the council should support this local team.
Brigg groups and clubs that successfully apply for grants are now invited to attend meetings of Brigg Town Council in the Angel building to be presented with their cheques by the Town Mayor and/or the Deputy Town Mayor.
Applications for assistance can be submitted at any time but must be accompanied by a current financial statement and state what the grant will be spent on. Email enquiries@briggmarkettown.co.uk or write to The Town Council, The Angel Building, Market Place, Brigg.
