'EXTRA MEASURES' IN PLACE AS BRIGG FARMERS' MARKET GOES AHEAD
Our picture, taken earlier this week, shows a sign alongside the A18, promoting Brigg Farmers' Market on Saturday (March 28) which is going ahead during the Coronavirus emergency period.
A spokesperson for North Lincolnshire Council said: "Brigg's Farmers’ Market will be taking place this weekend, Saturday 28 March. People will be able to access food and fresh produce. To ensure everyone stays safe, extra measures are being put in place. Visitors to the market are reminded to socially distance themselves from others (at least two metres) to reduce the risk of the virus spreading."
Markets (indoor and outdoor) have been exempted from the current restrictions imposed by the government during the Coronavirus emergency.
It will be interesting to see how many stallholders and shoppers are present.
