BRIGG TOWN v RETFORD FC AN IMPORTANT GAME FOR THE ZEBRAS

Brigg Town Football Club have an attractive first team home game coming up on Saturday (March 7).
The Zebras will be hosting Retford FC at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns), kick off 3pm.
Retford are sixth - 11 places above the Zebras, who could do with some points as they endeavour to keep clear of the drop zone in ToolStation Northern Counties East Division One.
East Hull are well adrift at the foot of the table, but Harrogate Railway and Worsborough Bridge - the other teams below Brigg - have played far fewer games than the Zebras.
Two sides from Division One face relegation at the end of the season - East Hull (probably) and one other.
A number of Retford fans are expected to take a direct passenger train to Brigg station on Saturday, and are likely to arrive here at 1.20pm.
This gives them an opportunity to look round our town centre and its shops before making their way to Hawthorn Avenue.
After the game they will have a few hours to spend in Brigg before catching the last train back home, which leaves at 7.48pm.
Brigg Town's licensed clubhouse, the venue's Pips Kitchen and perhaps some Brigg pubs and shops stand to benefit from a bit of extra trade - courtesy of the visitors from North Notts.
Brigg Town Reserves visit Louth Town in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier.
In the EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District Football League this Saturday, Barnetby United will be bidding to claim a cup final place when they journey to meet Scunthorpe side College Wanderers in a Challenge Cup 'semi' (2.30pm KO).
In Division Two, Briggensians will be hosting bottom side Santon at Brigg Recreation Ground, while Barnetby United Reserves entertain Epworth Town Colts Development at the village's Silver Street venue. Both these games kick off at 3pm.
