EXTENSION TO CAFE NEAR BRIGG PLANNED

Plans have been submitted to extend the cafe at a tourist attraction within the Brigg area due to increasing demand.
North Lincolnshire Council is being asked to give listed building consent to remove internal walls to increase the size of café and install an extraction flue at Elsham Hall Gardens & Country Park.
A statement submitted in support of the application says Elsham Hall Gardens and Country Park offers beautiful lakeside gardens, a contemporary  walled garden, an adventure
playground and variety of animals and birds.
Regular family events are held throughout the season, including circus and magic acts, car shows, art exhibitions and open air theatre.
Refreshments, snacks and afternoon teas are a speciality and are served in the Tea Room.
The statement adds: "The popularity of the park continues to grow, along with the desire for visitors to drink and dine at the park. With the increased demand, it has become evident that the existing café / dining area has not got the capacity to deal with the numbers of visitors at peak times.
"The proposal is to make internal alterations to the existing structure to facilitate the extension of the café/dining area into what is currently the Wedding Co-ordinator suite."
"Every effort has been made in the design process to respect the historical vale of the building and all on-site works will reflect this ethos."
North Lincolnshire Council is now considering the application from Elsham Hall.
