CHRISTMAS 2018: THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY ARE IN IN BRIGG PEOPLE'S THOUGHTS

Christmas Day will find many people in Brigg remembering friends and family members who have passed away, either in 2018 or in other years.
Messages showing some who are in people's thoughts have been placed by loved ones on the Tree of Light (pictured above) in School Court, near the town's main car park.
This year being the 100th since the guns fell silent in the First World War, there's also a reminder today of those from our town who served and survived the terrible conflict and others who gave their lives in the service of their country.
Lest We Forget, The Flanders Field display (pictured below), alongside the A18, gives an indication of the grim conditions endured by troops who had to spend Christmas in trenches on the front line.
