20 AFFORDABLE NEW HOMES PLANNED IN THE BRIGG AREA

A housing development of 20 new properties is planned in the Brigg area.
North Lincolnshire Council is being asked to give the go ahead for the homes on land near the pumping station on Ings Lane, Hibaldstow.
The applicant says all the dwellings with be "affordable" - 10 being to rent, five in shared ownership and five placed on the open market.
Forty planning spaces are earmarked to serve the dwellings which will all have rear gardens.
North Lincolnshire planners have also received an application for a single-storey front, side & rear extension to 4 Brook Lane, Scawby Brook, and another to erect  a detached dormer bungalow on land adjacent to Copperfield, Chapel Lane, Broughton.
Meanwhile, listed building consent is being sought to overhaul the existing heating system at Scawby Hall, on Vicarage Lane, Scawby.
The 17th century hall is one of only a handful of grade one listed buildings in the Brigg area.
A statement submitted with the application assures council planners that there will be minimal impact on the fabric of the building.
It says that overhauling the existing heating system will enable a more constant temperature to be maintained.
