FROM NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL
The
Northern Lincolnshire Great Attractions Fair is back for the second year running
and is set to be bigger and better than before. The Fair is on Sunday 16 March
at The Baths Hall, Scunthorpe, from 10am to 4pm. Make sure you don’t miss out.
Are
you looking for great days out this summer? Go along to the Fair to see what the
best visitor attractions have on offer for fun-filled family days out.
It
promises to be a great day out for all the family with lots to see and do. You
will be able to find a selection of the region’s finest farmers’ market and
craft traders. With everything from Italian breads and homemade chocolates to
quality meats and pies – you will be spoilt for choice. Take a look at the
selection of special gifts from the craft stands that you won’t be able to find
on the high street.
Have
you ever fancied taking to the skies? Trent Valley Gliding Club is taking centre
stage this year and bringing along one of their gliders. This is not to be
missed. With expert advice on-hand this is the perfect opportunity to book your
first flight.
Spreading
over two floors, the Baths Hall is the perfect setting to showcase the region’s
fantastic attractions. From Waters’ Edge Visitor Centre and the award-winning
Pink Pig Farm Adventure to Normanby Hall Country Park and Cleethorpes Light
Coast Railway.
Skydive
Hibaldstow will be at the Fair and you can talk to them about doing a skydive,
and if you’re feeling brave you could book your first skydive. Alternatively, if
this isn’t for you but you are feeling creative, why not book onto a pottery
workshop with local artist Karen Raithby?
There
are so many ideas for days out this summer for everyone. Find out about the
region’s historic World War Two airfields, the Bronze Age ‘raft’ at Brigg
Heritage Centre and the UK’s largest preserved collection of trolleybuses at
Sandtoft.
It
isn’t just for adults though, children can enjoy performances from the unique
Earthbound Misfits, get hands-on with creepy crawlies with Waters’ Edge and get
creative at one of the activity tables where they can make and colour something
to takeaway.
For
the big kids - grab your fancy dress outfits and strike a pose with Remember the
Moments photo booth.
Don’t
miss the cookery demonstrations throughout the day with local chef, Nigel Brown
and award-winning Brigg area chocolatier Fiona Sciolti. Fiona will be showing you how to
make her scrumptious chocolates just in time for Easter.
With
everything indoors this is one event that the weather cannot spoil.
Come
and join in the fun, and see what hidden gems Northern Lincolnshire has to offer
this summer. It is free to attend.

year’s Great Attractions Fair is going to be even better than last year, with a
wide range of visitor attractions showcasing what they have on offer. Everyone
is going to be spoilt for choice this summer. This is a fantastic way of
planning your summer outings as the attractions from across Northern
Lincolnshire are all in one place. There will be something for everyone at the
Fair, pop along and see for yourself.”
