BRIGG BROADBAND ON THE RIGHT ROAD

Internet broadband work on Queen Street in Brigg - picture on Nigel Fisher's Brigg Blog

We rather assumed, as many other Brigg folk may have done, that the above roadworks in Queen Street were of an emergency nature – perhaps relating to a gas leak or problems with power supply. But closer inspection of the signs ( in front of the tree) just outside the entrance to the postal service’s Brigg Delivery Office tells a different story, suggesting the cordoned off area near the junction with Garden Street is due to better broadband provision for Brigg. The work has been going on for some time.  Is this a one-off hole in the ground, or are others to follow?
