BRIGG SHOP SELLING SWEETS AND MILKSHAKES TO OPEN THIS WEEKEND

A new shop in Brigg town centre - Sweet Memories - will be opening this weekend.
It is occupying premises formerly used by Sankey's Sweets, which proprietor Natalie closed in late December and put on the market as a going concern.
The premises have been altered, inside and out, and will open for business from Saturday, February 9. Trading hours are 10am to 5pm.
A family concern, Sweet Memories will be selling retro and modern sweets, fudge, milkshakes and smoothies.
We wish them well with the new venture.
Refurbishment outside the premises briefly revealed the name of Waters above the door and front window. This Brigg family butchery business occupied the Wrawby Street site for many years.

In my formative years..one got 4 x Sherbert Flying Saucers for 1d..or a farthing each. Mars bars were the size of bricks and cost 4d..less than 1.5p...bag of chips either 4d or sixpence...and 4 chews for a 1d
