POLICE WANT TO ARREST RISK OF 'FALLING DEBRIS' FROM BRIGG TREE

An application has been made to prune a tree in Brigg that is covered by a Tree Preservation Order.
An agent for Humberside Police has told North Lincolnshire Council planners that the mature ash on Cary Lane's grassy area adjoining the police station is causing lots of "falling debris" affecting an adjoining parking area. The plan is to prune the tree to reduce this risk.
The application to crown lift and crown reduce the tree canopy is now being considered by the local authority.
The ash is subject to the Tree Preservation (Barnard Avenue, Brigg) Order 2001.
Our recently-taken picture shows the tree in question and its proximity to the overflow car park serving the nearby Barnard Avenue police station.
