BANK HOLIDAY BIN COLLECTIONS IN BRIGG - CHECK YOU KNOW WHICH TO PUT OUT AND WHEN

Brigg households are being advised which bins to put out due to the bank holiday on Monday, May 7 when the hardworking collection crews will not be working.
We suggest you check the information that follows.
North Lincolnshire Council, which sends out the  bin lorries, will be collecting in Brigg as normal on TUESDAY, MAY 8:

  • Green or black general waste wheelie-bins
  • Blue boxes containing newspapers
  • Green boxes filled with cans and glass bottles
  • Bags containing textiles (if you have them).
There was a time when Brigg's bin collections went back one day at bank holidays. But that is no longer the case.
A spokesman for the council explained: "As we no longer collect any household bins or boxes on a Monday, we only have to change people's bin days when there's a bank holiday at Christmas and Easter. We changed the rounds for exactly this reason - so we'd reduce the disruption for residents over bank holidays."
If you need to contact waste management staff at any time, email wastemanagement@northlincs.gov.uk Or call them on 01724 297000.
