It has taken a little longer to achieve than some expected, but a set of Brigg public conveniences are now open again.
The toilet block on East Park, near the Tintab shelter and the Monument war memorial, was due to reopen a few weeks ago, only for some unexpected issues to arise and delay things.
However, North Lincolnshire Council now informs us that the 'ladies' and 'gents' are open, while the facilities provided for disabled users still require a minor cistern repair "which will be completed a.s.a.p."
The toilets were closed last September following damage to the roof which allowed rain in.
On health and safety grounds the gates were kept locked, with 'out of order' signs posted at the entrances.
There's no charge to use these WCs or the town centre's other conveniences on Cary Lane.
The council's reference to "a.s.a.p" was made earlier week.
|The re-roofed toilets open again (above) having been closed and locked for some months (see below).|
